Dog Reunited With Owner Thanks to Social Media
An ad posted on West Islip Patch's facebook wall leads lost dog back to owner

West Islip resident, Angela G, went to the web to reunite an eight-to 10-year-old female dog with its owner.
The dog was found by Angela wandering Livingston toward Route 109 in Babylon Village on June 27. She brought her to a vet in hopes of finding a micro chip implanted providing ownership clues but no luck. The dog didn't have any tags.
So then Angela went viral and used her social networking skills to get the dog back home before the day was over.
"I posted a few pictures on Facebook, called a few places in town and thanks to help of our community working together, she was reunited yesterday evening. Only 16 hours after we spotted her! That's social media at its best!"
